The 31st FSS NAF Human Resources Office administers the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) personnel system. We offer a variety of employment opportunities within the Aviano community from fitness, food service, childcare, recreation and administrative support. Who May Apply
All U.S. citizens, except those determined to have ordinarily resident status in the host country. U.S. dependents must have an Official Passport, Visa, Soggiorno and be listed on the sponsor’s orders or command sponsorship letter.
Non-U.S. citizen family members of a military or civilian sponsor stationed at Aviano may be considered for NAF employment under U.S. conditions if:
- Dependent is a citizen of a NATO country and has a US Permanent Resident Card: Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Rep, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom
- Dependent must be listed on the sponsor’s orders or command sponsorship letter.
U.S. enlisted personnel may be hired as NAF employees during their non-duty hours.
NAF (Nonappropriated Funds) describes federal employment that is available not only at U.S. Air Force bases around the world but with other services as well. Although NAF positions are federal jobs, they differ from federal civil service positions, as NAF employees are paid from self-generated funds by Air Force clubs, golf courses and other activities and locations where NAF employee work. NAF employees take pride in providing world-class customer service, programs, and facilities in the following areas:
