Where preteens & teens can be themselves & make new friends!

The Aviano Preteen & Teen Center, located on Area 1 building 116, offers a fun and safe environment for preetens ages 9-12 & teens ages 13-18 under the supervision of trained program assistants.

The Preteen & Teen Center is a BGCA and 4-H affiliated program. These programs allow preteens & teens the chance to win contests and scholarships for college, as well as the opportunity to participate in activities in the following areas: Education & STEM, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness, College & Career, The Arts, and Sports & Recreation. The Preteen & Teen Center also offers clubs that focus on leadership and service, preparing youth for the future and the interests of members. The Preteen & Teen Center has many amenities including, but not limited to, computers, iPads, gaming equipment, a fully stocked music area, art supplies, and a snack bar.

  • Fees for this program are $45 quarterly (every three months).
  • Parents interested in registering their child, may go to or call the Aviano Youth Center front desk for more information.
  • All membership packets need to be accompanied with an up-to-date immunizations record which must include the most recent flu shot.

Parents, please note:

Children 13 years of age or younger, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when being signed in/out of programs.

What We Offer

Preteen Programs

The Aviano Preteen Programs, located on Area 1 in building 116, offers a fun and safe environment for youth ages 9-12 under the supervision of trained program assistants. The Preteen Program is a BGCA and 4-H affiliated program. These programs allow youth the chance to develop skills needed to be successful in school and everyday life while also developing leadership skills for the future.

Preteen programs offers morning camps during winter, spring and summer breaks!

Youth have the opportunity to participate in activities in the following areas: Education & STEM, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness, College & Career, The Arts, and Sports & Recreation. Preteen Programs currently offers clubs that focus on leadership and service, preparing youth for the future and the interests of members. It offers has many amenities including, but not limited to, computers, iPads, gaming equipment, art supplies, and a snack bar.

Passport to Manhood Club - a targeted effort to engage young boys in discussions and activities that
reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior.

S.M.A.R.T. Girls club - SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-
esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls.
Tuesday
Torch (character and leadership) Club -  small-group character and leadership clubs for preteen ages.
Art Club – Explore different types of art.  designed to foster creativity in young people, and give them
outlets for self-expression
Wednesday
Power Hour & Creative Writing Club

Preteen PrimeTime Program

The Preteen PrimeTime Program, provides age appropriate activities and experiences for youth ages 9-12 under the supervision of trained program assistants. This program is Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and 4-H affiliated. With the support and curriculum of these programs we are able to provide youth with opportunities to participate in activities in the following areas: Education & STEM, Character & Leadership, Health & Wellness, The Arts, and Sports and Recreation. Our weekly planning is based on interest of the youth and preparing them for the future. The programing area has many amenities including, but not limited to, computers, iPads, gaming equipment, table/board games, art supplies and a snack bar.

  • PrimeTime membership fees: $30 dollars a month.
  • For more information please call the front desk or stop by AYP M-F from 7:30am-6:00pm.
  • All registration requires up-to-date immunization and the most recent FLU SHOT.

Keystone Club

Keystone is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s ultimate teen program. Keystone Clubs provide leadership development opportunities for young people ages 13 to 18. Youth participate in activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation, and community service. With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Clubs aim to have a positive impact on members, the Club and community.

Youth of the Year

Through the Keystone Club, youth ages 14-18 have the opportunity to apply for Military Youth of the Year, a program that gives youth the opportunity to receive scholarships for college and be rewarded for their achievements at Teen Center. Youth receive a $5000 scholarship at the State level, a $10,000 scholarship that is renewable for four years at the Regional level and a $25,000 scholarship renewable for up to four years at the National level.

4-H Club

4-H Club offers youth the opportunity to develop a sense of independence and skill mastery while helping youth learn to value and practice service for others. 4-H goal is to help youth develop in four areas:

  • Head - focusing on independence and leadership
  • Heart -focusing on creating a sense of belonging and developing meaningful relationships
  • Hands - focusing on generosity and serving the community
  • Health - focusing on healthy practices and life skills

Teen Center is always open to implementing clubs led by youth that accommodate teens’ interests.
Cooking ClubThrough Cooking Club, youth have the opportunity to learn about how food impacts their health and learn to make different meals and snacks.

Military & Life ConsultantsChild & Youth Behavioral Military & Family Life Consultants (CYB-MFLCs) are available to talk to children about issues such as school adjustment issues, daily life issues, deployments and much more. Meetings are confidential and free of charge. CYB-MFLCs can be reached through Youth Programs at 632-7575, Area 1 CDC at 632-8246 or Area F CDC at 632-5199.

National Fine Arts ExhibitThe National Fine Arts Exhibit encourages artistic recognition of Club members ages 6 to 18 by displaying drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture at local and regional exhibits. A panel of distinguished judges selects works for inclusion in the National Fine Arts Exhibit, which is displayed the ensuing year at BGCA events, including the annual National Conference.

Photography ClubThis club offers the opportunity for teens to use cameras and other photography equipment to creatively capture their surroundings. Youth are offered encouragement in participating in trial and error and curriculum guides to help hone their skills.

Smart TeensSmart Teens offers youth the opportunity to explore college, career, and financial skills in order to help prepare teens for their futures. Some examples of topics addressed as a part of Smart Teens include: learning about the different types of schools or careers one can pursue, budgeting, time management, study habits, maintaining a positive self-image, and maintaining healthy relationships.
